When she resided in the U.S., she had announced "STAR" in the name called U3. She is a name of Cubic U and announced the solo single and the album in 1997. She released "Precious" on the market in Japan on January 28, 1998, and she will come out in December as "Hikaru Utada." In December, 1998, she came out with 1stsingle "Automatic/time will tell" as Hikaru Utada.
She released the debut album First Love. Then, she released a single called Automatic. Wen she was debut, I had a strong impression. Of course she was good at singing, and she was 15 years old yet. This music is her music which I listened to first. (maybe...)
The next song is "First Love" of an English version. This music is inclusion music of her album.
In March, 1999, she released 1st album "First Love." This album of 8,600,000 or more sheets are shipped in Japan. This is the 1st place of an album successive generation chart of Japan. (This record is not broken as of 2011).

ReplyDeleteI have to admit that I liked Utada Hikaru's sound originally. She seemed like 'the girl next door' to me. Interestingly enough, my eldest daughter once went out and sang Karaoke with Utada Hikaru in Tokyo. They had mutual friends.
I like Utada Hikaru too! She is very good singer in japan. My favorite song is "Passion". What is your favorite song?
ReplyDeleteKana, in regard to your blog, I want you to consider the appeal of your blog. I think that the solid background colour needs to be changed. Perhaps some kind of imagery that better matches the nature of your blog content would be good. How about making a montage of JPop album covers and turning them into one background? Something like that would be more eye-catching. Also, how about a news banner that gives JPop news updates continuously. It's time to upgrade.
